1842: Michael Yawman, one of my maternal great-grandfathers, was born in Rochester, Monroe County, New York. He was the son of immigrant Andrew Yawman and his wife Catherine (Sitterly) Yawman. Although his death certificate and tombstone indicate he was born on February 22, 1844, other sources point to an 1842 birth year.
