Sunday's Obituary - Elmore A. Sisk (1903-1961)

Elmore Allen Sisk was born in Texas on 21 September 1903 and died in Houston, Harris County, Texas, on 16 January 1961. He was married to my first cousin (once removed), Doris W. Martindale. I think it's interesting that all employees of the Houston Transit Company were honorary pallbearers; at his death, he was employed there as a cashier.

  1. I've seen a number of obits with honorary pallbearers, but never an entire company.

    1. I can't imagine it was a very large company, but really don't know! But I think it's a good indicator of the esteem in which they held Mr. Sisk.
